Your purchase may be returned within 30 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange. Returns must be approved by our sales team and issued an RMA number prior to returning any item to RNT Supply, Inc. All items returned will be subject to inspection, a minimum 25% restocking fee, and will not include any shipping costs. Items must be returned in the original packaging and include all accessories, hardware or manuals included in our original shipment. Items found to be damaged, or missing components included in the original shipment may be subject to additional restocking fees or rejection altogether. Damage to returned items due to improper packaging or handling by the customer and/or carrier will be at their expense.
Purchases of custom assembled control panels, switchgear of any value, or distribution packages exceeding $10,000 may be subject to greater restocking fees and require a signed purchase agreement provided by our sales team in advance noting that we have accurately provided all specifications, ratings, requested photographs, test reports, and documentation of the requested materials. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the materials meet their requirements, as well as the requirements of any utility companies, inspections, or physical restrictions that may be involved.
Please note: Although an initial RMA request must be made within 30 days of the purchase date, merchandise requiring additional transit time due to shipping must be received at our facility with 45 days of the original purchase date.
Items that fall into any of the scenarios below will be accepted without penalty to the customer. All RMA request must be made within 30-days.
Any item that sustains damage during shipment due to inadequate packaging by RNT Supply, Inc., or improper handling by the carrier. All damage claims must be noted with the carrier at the time of delivery and proper follow up must be completed by the customer to ensure that RNT Supply, Inc. obtains all applicable insurance reimbursements.
Any item that was offered by our sales team as a compatible substitute product to that which was originally requested by the customer that is later found to be incompatible.
Any item that was shipped in error by our warehouse that does not match the part number and/or description of that which was originally ordered.
Why do we charge a restocking fee?
Unlike traditional supply houses who are able to have their orders fulfilled through a regional warehouse, RNT Supply, Inc. incurs great costs stocking far more materials than our competitors. Many rare and obsolete items we stock may remain in our warehouse for several years prior to being sold. Warehousing and inventory tracking on our merchandise requires a great deal of time and effort. Each item we sell must also be inspected, cleaned, tested, and repaired, when necessary, adding further to the costs involved with your order. We may also incur other costs when you place an order such as inbound shipping costs to us, or fees for other third party services. Because of these expenses, we must charge a nominal 25% restocking fee to recover some of these costs when an item is returned.
